Leave the misleading attacks to the operatives and pundits who are actually getting paid to spread half-truths and misleading facts. But Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber, thrust himself into the blinding spotlight of a national campaign by allowing the Republicans to latch onto his inane idea that Obama’s “spreading the wealth around” tax plan amounts to socialism. I don’t fault ol’ Joe for innocently asking a question to a candidate, but by volunteering to become the mascot for lame political attacks by McCain and Palin, he has stripped away any immunity from getting pounced on himself, especially when the whole premise of his argument is flawed. It turns out that ‘Joe the Plumber’ is not a licensed plumber, he’s not getting ready to purchase a plumbing business, said plumbing business does not even bring in more than $250,000 in taxable income (and therefore would not be affected by Obama’s tax plan), Joe himself owes $1,200 in back taxes – and his name isn’t even Joe. With all this in mind, here’s a playlist for our new national celebrity, Joe the Plumber. I saw a few other lists out there, but there’s plenty of musical love to go around.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Obama being asked to call him Hussein Obama… He also doesn’t need to have a plumbers license because he doesn’t actually own the business yet and has been working under the owner’s license (which is perfectly legal to do). Also i must note that McCain is ALL for spreading the wealth, as long as the folks on the receiving end are corporations. Remember how he “suspended” his campaign to vote in a bill to give, at a minimum, 800 billion dollars to corporate fat cats?
