I always love reading trite remarks like this. Failed musician? really?? So anyone that has a passionate (regardless if it’s negative or otherwise) is automatically a failed musician? So basically anyone with a critical opinion about any given subject matter as automatically failed at it and therefore not allowed to express their views on it? I think if anything, that opinion alone is a great example of failure and narrow mindedness. From what I understand, Mr. Bangs did, in fact make music on his own terms for his own amusement and was drawn to both music and writing and sought to combine the two, that does not make his opinions or knowledge always correct, but as with any given human, he did have the write to share his take on the music and records he loved. Those writings can be taken as both informational or entertaining, or a mixture of both, either way, there is always something to be learned or appreciated in one way or another, and comments like yours clearly demonstrate a lack of depth and intelligence, enjoy your day job.

Go cry it out, Chad. Where is Lester’s individualism? I’ll let you off the hook since you obviously don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about, but look into Lester. He was a great influence on ALL music writers, whether they liked him or not.

Where’s your creativity? Where’s you individualism? Oh…that’s because you don’t have any.
