While I was consolidating, sorting, matching, dissecting and shedding away some of my physical music collection recently, I came across a Jessica Simpson album called In This Skin which I’m starting to wonder how I’ve come to possess.  But more importantly, there is an undeniable issue with her head that people need to examine.

This image is from the back of the CD booklet which accompanies the album… now, is it me, or does the woman have a second ear on the same side of her head?  If you assume yes, how was this not caught in the final approval process of the album before it was manufactured?

But also, given her superior sense of sound, can she hear things in her music which we cannot, perhaps?

Might want to keep this one just for the goof. Just proves that humans are not infallible. Really does make you wonder though–is it real or is it Memorex?

Oh, that made me laugh. (David, I’m gonna overlook the fact that you own this album!)

They doubled up that part of the picture to make her hair look fuller. They just somehow didn’t manage to catch the fullness they gave her double ears, I guess. Because trust me… she doesn’t not have a superior sense of sound, or she’d have to explain most of her song choices.

Looks like a great big clonky earring to me, but it might be her ear!

I stumbled on this post and was amused and remembered back to 2003. My old band was on Columbia which is the label that released this record. The art director pointed out that this was a mistake and an attempt to recall all products with this fault. The problem with free cds is that you tend to grab the shit free cds. I do still have my copy though. Ha.
