Looking at the cover of this week’s Rolling Stone, you can’t help but think how behind the ball conventional magazines are in the speed of the Internet world. The Radiohead story seems very dated by now… to read the 120th article about pay-what-you-want downloading just seems clinical at this point. Even daily printed newspapers feel dated by the time the news has happened and you have digested it online. Some media organizations have embraced this change, but others are still functioning with blinders on. To subscribe, or not to subscribe to conventional media…

I read that story and it was very good… an in-depth profile of the band, not a quick story about the download. that’s what magazines do that the internet doesn’t… you should read the piece… |
