This seems like a week of random disappointments, as optimistic as we are here:

- One of the great music singles from last year is now just sad commentary: Amy Winehouse Going Back To Rehab

- Everyone eagerly awaited Apple’s slim machine, only to punch it in the face by harping on its flaws: Why the Macbook is a toy with no promise

- Coachella, one of the most reputable pop music festivals in the world, announced a lineup this week which didn’t appeal to the hipsters: Official Coachella Lineup 2008 (see user comments)

- Mary-Kate Olsen was the go-to person when Heath Ledger, one of the best actors of his generation, was found dead: Heath Ledger’s Massage Therapist Called Mary-Kate Olsen First After Finding His Body

- Many 401(k)s are in the toilet: Recession 2008: How bad it can get

- Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood was ineligible for an Oscar nomination for his intense score to There Will Be Blood due to a technicality: NME

- But hey… the most delayed album in history is on its way! February 12th UK release date
